It’s 4:54 in the AM as I start writing my daily writing, this is only my second entry in my daily writings as it’ something new that I started doing yesterday, see how long I keep doing it…So far today not much to write about. I facebooked while Connie got ready for work, she’s gone now….I would sure like to see her hang it up, but she tells me that she rather work than spend all day with me, one day when she told me that I asked her “but I thought you loved me?” she replied with a cracker of a line “I do, but, I don’t like you” damn! how would like to be loved, but not liked?…Well, this is all for now, will be back during the day.

Bullshitted with Rene on Facebook for a bit.

8:58: just got done eating some huevos con chorizo. Yes, even though I can’t cook I can “burn” huevos con chorizo as well as anybody else. I didn’t feel good enough to be out on the streets this morning. Back in bed again..

3:59: It’s been a cold day. Been under the blankets for most of the day. Hope I feel better tomorrow so I can go have menudo.

Decermber 4, 2013

                                                   By kiki

This morning Connie and I woke up real early, okay, Connie did, I woke up at 1:00 AM because she had the TV on. I went to back to sleep and woke up again at 2:30 AM, been awake ever since. After watching the news and reading some of the newspaper with my morning coffee I called Bobby to see if he could chip in some money to help pay Tio Magdaleno funeral, he said yes, I told him to send it to Connie, she will see that it gets to Alice.  I then got up around 7:00 AM and jumped in the shower…After showering I left the house to go get something to eat at the greasy spoon joint that I frequent just about every morning during the week, I do that because from Monday thru Friday I am home by myself and I don’t know how to cook, I can’t even boil water!

I order me an egg sandwich, white only, coffee and water. I continue to read the newspaper as I ate. Things were going fine until I started choking on my sandwich. I knelt over to my right, I couldn’t-breath or swallow my food, I started to sweat, my eyes started to water, my nose started running, seem like everything was on “start” the waitress and her husband came to my aid, but they really didn’t know what to do, hell, neither did I!. First thing that came to my mind was ‘hey, not now, I just renewed my driver’s license yesterday, don’t even have the hard copy yet’ after what seemed like a long time, but in reality it was just minutes I was able to swallow water. I sat there drinking water till I felt good enough to drive home, once I got home I went right back to bed…As I type this my arms feel real heavy, my lips feel a little numb and my chest feel it has a heavy weight on it…I really would like to see my driver’s license hard copy before my calendar runs out, but like the old song says “Que Sera sera”

It’s a good thing the driver’s license come with a photo of the licensee, otherwise Sancho would be driving Connie’s Honda Accord with my license while smoking my stogies to boot!

Renewing my Driver’s license…2013

By kiki

Well, I did it!! I passed, not with flying colors, but, nonetheless, I passed the renewal exam...You are allowed to miss 3 out of 50+ questions, and I missed 3...But this is what I can't understand if you're a first-timer in getting your license, you are allowed to miss 6 questions, but for renewal only 3, I would think it would be the other way around. que no??

The eye exam was a bit touchy. First, the examiner had me read some letters with both eyes, which I did. Then, with a sheet of paper, he covered my left eye and asked me to read line number 3 on the chart with my right eye “can’t,” I told him; he then lifted the sheet of paper off my left eye a bit so that I was now seeing with both eyes, I read the line. Finally, he told me, “you passed” That guy must have done his residency with Doctor Bernhart Schwartz, who examined boxers for the CSAC. Half-blinded fighters would get their boxing license by seeing Schwartz; I know because some of those half-blinded fighters were mine…..This brings to mind this great song, “with a little help from my friends” Not sure I got the song title 100% right, but you all know what song I mean. que no?
